My team members and I are always involved in some sort of personal development and growth training. Last month, we read the book The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande.

Now I know what you are probably thinking … A book about checklists? Yawn.

But, oh, how wrong you would be. I love the book. My whole team loves the book. During today’s team meeting, we spent 45 minutes talking about how much we love the book.

And on Monday, I had a checklist-related experience that changed my life.

If youve flown anywhere recently, you know that travelers are increasingly trying to cram more luggage into the overhead bins to avoid those pesky checked-baggage fees that generally start at $25 a bag. Some credit cards, though, can help reduce the fee burden and maybe even reduce time wasted as attendants pry excess bags from the hands of desperate passengers and wheel them away to be checked.

NerdWallet, a card comparison site, has compiled a chart of cards that waive the fees on the first bag you check, if you use the card to buy your ticket:

ERPLY Introduces Mobile Card Reader and Low Transaction Fee

ERPLY has announced an iPad-optimized Mobile Card Reader.

The new credit card device connects to an iPad or iPhone and transmits a customer’s encrypted credit card data to the ERPLY point-of-sale software and inventory management software suite to process payments. This gives retailers the ability to view real-time data and inventory analytics through the ERPLY inventory management system.

The ERPLY credit card reader is priced at $50 with a 1.9% transaction fee.
